Lead Data Engineer

Job summary

HCLTech in Manchester is seeking a senior data engineering lead to architect and deliver data products end-to-end in a regulated environment.

You will work with GCP, dbt, Python and SQL to design scalable data pipelines, implement robust data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and ensure quality with testing frameworks. You will also lead a team of engineers and collaborate with data governance and DevOps practices to meet tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Expert-level experience with cloud data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with dbt, Python and SQL for data engineering.
• Strong data modelling and ETL/ELT design experience.
• Proven track record delivering data products end-to-end in production.
• Experience with testing, data validation and quality assurance frameworks.
• Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts, integration and implementation.
• DevOps, CI/CD and deployment/governance experience in a regulated or enterprise environment.
• Demonstrable experience leading or technically directing a team of engineers.
• Immediately available or short notice period; able to mobilise without extended lead time.
