Senior Data Engineer

Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a data engineer in the United Kingdom to design and deliver data solutions using cloud platforms, with emphasis on GCP or similar.

You will apply dbt, Python and SQL to build robust data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data products end-to-end, ensuring data quality and governance. You should be comfortable in a DevOps/CI-CD delivery model and eager to mobilise quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with GCP or a comparable cloud data engineering platform.
• Advanced practical experience with dbt, Python and SQL.
• Solid data modelling and ETL/ELT design skills.
• Experience delivering data products end-to-end, not just individual pipeline components.
• Exposure to MDM concepts and/or integration work is a strong plus.
• Experience with testing frameworks and data quality/validation practices.
• Comfortable working within DevOps/CI-CD delivery models.
• Ready to mobilise quickly; academic-only or purely theoretical profiles will not be considered
