Job summary

Snowflake is hiring a Principal Solution Engineer for the UK market. You will partner with the account sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs and guide evaluations, helping customers choose Snowflake as their solution.

You will translate Snowflake capabilities into practical data solutions, work with evolving tech, and continuously learn new skills to accelerate customer impact.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern data tech (dbt, Spark, containers, orchestration tools, Git).
• Solution engineering/architect experience in SaaS or analytics/data engineering.
• Outstanding presentation skills to technical and executive audiences.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, analytics and cloud tech.
• Hands-on SQL experience.
• Ability to translate customer problems into Snowflake solutions.

Responsibilities

• Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors.
• Demonstrate and communicate Snowflake value through the sales cycle (demo to PoC to design).
• Develop technical champions in accounts to drive deals.
• Present Snowflake roadmap features to customers and prospects.
• Stay current on competitive technologies and position Snowflake accordingly.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers to learn from wins and losses.
• Work with Product Management, Engineering and Marketing to improve Snowflake products and marketing.
• Represent Snowflake at events and customer meetings.
• Engage with ecosystem partners to build architectures and account strategies.
• Contribute to account and territory plans with the broader ecosystem.
