Senior Solution Architect - Bus Franchising Programme

Northern England

Initial 9 Month Contract

Up to £650 per day Outside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to provide architectural leadership across a major Bus Franchising and Transport Transformation Programme

You will lead the design, integration and technical assurance of a complex technology ecosystem, ensuring multiple systems, suppliers and business functions operate seamlessly to support the future franchised bus network.

Key project areas include:

• Customer Services: Contact centre, workforce management, customer enquiries and complaints.
• Ticketing, Retail & Payments: Smart ticketing, ticket management, retail and payment solutions.
• Network Planning & Operations: Timetabling, network management, incident management and service registration.
• Operator Performance & Compliance: Contract management, performance monitoring, compliance and revenue protection.
• Finance, Assets & Estates: Financial management, asset lifecycle, facilities and property management.
• Business Support: Lost property and associated support services.

Key responsibilities include defining solution architectures, designing systems integration, supporting procurement and supplier management, overseeing technical governance, ensuring cyber security and data compliance, and leading operational readiness and service transition.

Candidates must have proven experience delivering complex, multi-system technology programmes, with strong integration, stakeholder management and architectural governance skills.

Public sector or transport experience is highly desirable.
