Telford & Wrekin Council is seeking qualified solicitors for a one-year fixed-term contract within its Lexcel-accredited Legal Team. The role involves providing expert legal advice to Council officers, elected members and external clients across services.

The Safeguarding team operates on a hybrid pattern with two office days in Telford (Wednesdays and Thursdays). Applicants must hold UK practising rights and be eligible to practice in the UK.

Qualifications

• APPLICANTS MUST BE QUALIFIED SOLICITORS WITH PRACTICING RIGHTS IN THE UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to Council officers, elected members and external clients at all levels.
• Contribute to safeguarding and public-interest work within the Lexcel-accredited Legal Team.
• Work on a hybrid pattern with two office days per week in Telford (Weds/Thu).
