Job summary

Thurrock Council is seeking a part-time Safeguarding Lawyer to provide high quality legal advice and representation on children’s safeguarding matters. You will work closely with social workers and partner agencies to support positive outcomes for children and families, in a flexible and supportive environment that values balance between work and personal life.

Applicants must be a qualified solicitor, barrister or CILEX with Litigation Rights, with at least 2 years PQE.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor, barrister or CILEX with Litigation Rights.
• 2+ years PQE in children's safeguarding preferred.
• Basic DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children’s safeguarding matters.
• Provide high quality legal advice and representation.
• Work closely with social workers and partner agencies.
