Job summary

Focus Resourcing Group is recruiting a Software Systems Engineer for our client in Bridgend, UK. You will design, develop and maintain software that controls complex engineering systems and work closely with engineering, production and customers to deliver robust solutions.

Applicants should have a HND or degree in CS or a related discipline, at least five years of software development experience, and strong VB.NET skills. Experience with PLCs or laser control is a plus.

Qualifications

Five years of software development experience.
HND or Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related.
Strong VB.NET programming skills within an engineering or industrial environment.
Experience with machine control, motion control or hardware integration.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple technical projects.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain software that controls complex engineering systems.
Work closely with engineering, production and customers to develop software solutions.
Troubleshoot technical issues and support global installations.
Engage in the full software development lifecycle from requirements to testing and deployment.
