Job summary

ARM in Reading is seeking a Software Project Engineer to support the technical delivery of Software Factory projects. You will be the key technical interface between engineering teams and Delivery Management, coordinating technical activities, managing risks and dependencies, and providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline, strong software/systems/platform engineering experience, and

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
Experience in software, systems, or platform engineering projects.
Experience in software delivery environments; aerospace & defence is a plus.
Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

Coordinate technical activities across engineering teams and stakeholders.
Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and technical interfaces.
Support project plans, technical roadmaps, reporting, and forecasting.
Provide technical leadership and first-level decision-making.
Act as the escalation point for engineering issues.
Ensure adherence to engineering processes and standards.
Facilitate technical reviews and milestone assessments.
