Job summary

Royal London is seeking an experienced Software Performance Test Engineer to help build a new state-of-the-art investments platform. The role is based in Alderley Park with hybrid working (50% home, 50% office) as part of the Chief Operating Office.

You will join a team delivering critical digital solutions for customers and business users over a multi-year transformation. Qualifications include expert knowledge of performance testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter), strong coding in TypeScript or

Qualifications

• Expert in developing performance test platforms using LoadRunner and JMeter.
• High level of coding proficiency in TypeScript or Java, with strong software engineering standards and practices.
• Extensive experience designing and developing automated test suites including data priming capabilities.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools such as Grafana.
• Strong understanding of web services including GraphQL and REST.
• Experienced working with databases, including MongoDB and Oracle.
• Proven experience working within Agile delivery environments and modern software development lifecycles.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on quality, reliability and risk mitigation.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while mentoring and supporting others.
• Committed to continuous improvement, driving testing best practice, quality standards and innovation.
