Senior Software Engineer – TypeScript, Node.JS, AWS, Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, IDAM/IAM, MFA, Ping Identity, REST APIs, Investment Management – City of London

A global Investment Manager is seeking a Senior Software Engineer skilled in TypeScript and Node.js to join their Security Architecture and Engineering team, specifically within their Cybersecurity Engineering division. This team is responsible for managing Client Authentication services for their retail investment platform, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and Passkeys.

As a Senior Engineer, you will work within a multi-functional agile squad to develop and enhance their cloud-based cybersecurity services. Your work will focus on creating new capabilities to improve security and resilience, as well as developing user-friendly functionalities. The role involves an ongoing pipeline of exciting projects extending into 2026 and beyond.

Key qualifications include:

1. Strong hands-on coding skills in TypeScript and Node.js
2. Deep understanding and experience with cloud engineering on AWS
3. Experience with backend development in Python (a bonus)
4. Previous experience in security engineering and architecture (highly beneficial)
5. Knowledge of customer IDAM tools such as Ping Identity (useful)
6. A background in finance (beneficial but not essential)
