Senior Software Engineer – TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, IDAM/IAM, MFA, Ping Identity, REST APIs, Investment Management – City of London

A global Investment Manager is seeking a Senior Engineer skilled in TypeScript/Node.js development on AWS to join their Security Architecture and Engineering team, specifically within Cybersecurity Engineering. This team manages Client Authentication services for their retail investment platform, including MFA and Passkeys.

As a Senior Engineer, you will work within a multi-functional agile squad to develop and enhance cloud-based cybersecurity services. Your work will focus on improving platform security, resilience, and user experience, with ongoing projects into 2026 and beyond.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong hands-on coding skills with TypeScript and Node.js
• Deep understanding and experience with cloud engineering on AWS
• Experience with backend development in Python (a plus)
• Experience in security engineering and architecture (highly beneficial)
• Knowledge of customer IDAM tools such as Ping Identity (useful)
• A background in finance (beneficial but not critical)
