Senior Software Engineer – TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, IDAM/IAM, MFA, REST APIs – City of London

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer skilled in TypeScript and Node.js development on AWS to join a global Investment Manager's Security Architecture and Engineering team, specifically within Cybersecurity Engineering. The team manages client authentication services for their retail investment platform, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), Passkeys, and more.

As a Senior Engineer, you will be part of a multi-functional agile squad, contributing to the development of cloud-based cybersecurity services. Your work will involve enhancing platform security and resilience, as well as developing new user-friendly functionalities, with exciting projects planned into 2026 and beyond.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

1. Strong hands-on coding skills in TypeScript and Node.js
2. Deep understanding and experience with cloud engineering on AWS
3. Experience with backend development in Python is a plus
4. Previous experience in security engineering and architecture is highly advantageous
5. Knowledge of customer IDAM tools such as Ping is beneficial
6. A background in finance is a plus but not essential
