Job summary

MBDA in Stevenage, United Kingdom, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop test equipment software for world‑leading missile systems. The role supports a hybrid pattern, with on‑site work common due to workload, and requires British citizenship or dual UK nationality for BPSS clearance after offer.

You will write C/C++ software, work in an agile environment, and contribute to automation, CI, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

Previous software engineering experience in the development of test solutions.
Strong ability to write software in C/C++; scripting languages would be an advantage to our future direction.
Previous experience working in an agile development team.
A strong understanding of what is required to create high quality software and the ability to support quality practices.
A good understanding of automation, continuous integration and DevOps principles and practices.
Knowledge of electronics measurement and debug techniques using equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers.

Responsibilities

Design and develop test equipment software to test the world leading missile systems and sub‑components.
Work within an agile team to deliver robust software for production and testing environments.
Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure integration and reliability.
