Job summary

Mozilla is seeking a senior security engineer to design, build and implement security and hardening features for Firefox across enterprise users and multiple operating systems.

You will advance Firefox’s security architecture, investigate issues with cross-team collaboration, and help strengthen core security mechanisms, cryptographic protocols, and web APIs while diagnosing and resolving performance and memory issues in a complex, multithreaded environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in low-level software engineering with a security focus.
• Strong proficiency in C and/or C++, knowledge of security fundamentals.
• Experience with cross-platform architectures and systems programming.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and implement security and hardening features for enterprise users.
• Advance Firefox security architecture across multiple operating systems.
• Investigate security issues, identify root causes, and deliver robust fixes.
• Improve browser reliability by diagnosing and resolving memory and performance issues in a multithreaded environment.
