Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Software Engineer III for its International Private Bank. The role focuses on designing secure, scalable technology products within an agile team, delivering high-quality code and robust systems.

You will work across multiple technical areas to support strategic business objectives. You will contribute to secure production code, modern tooling, and data-driven improvements, while upholding responsible AI practices and rigorous security standards.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation, with ability to critically evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build innovative solutions and address complex technical challenges
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that integrate seamlessly with systems
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to enhance code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards
• Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle, including AI-assisted development and automation, to maximize automation value
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met during software development
• Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to drive continuous improvement
• Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture
