Job summary

Artificial Intelligence Jobs is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build and scale enterprise AI platforms across the UK. Remote-first with optional hybrid London work (2 days per week).

You will lead AI services, data pipelines and cloud-native architectures, collaborating with data scientists and engineers to productionise models at scale. The role emphasizes autonomy, leadership, and delivering robust AI infrastructure with modern tooling (FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or related discipline.
• 5+ years' commercial experience in AI/Engineering, ML or Data Engineering.
• Expert-level Python development experience.
• Experience productionising ML/NLP/Generative AI models.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable AI data pipelines and processing workflows.
• Architect cloud-native backend systems and distributed AI services.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to productionise ML/NLP models.
• Develop high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices for AI model serving.
• Drive system reliability, observability and performance optimization.
• Champion CI/CD, automated testing and Infrastructure as Code.
