Tripadvisor is seeking a product-focused Senior Software Engineer for its Experiences Engineering team. You will own features end-to-end, driving design, implementation and delivery in a remote-first setup with periodic in-person gatherings.

Key focus areas include scalable distributed systems, cloud-native backend work in Java and SQL, and frontend work with React. You will mentor teammates, shape technical standards, and leverage AI tools to enhance reliability and speed.

Qualifications

• Experience building large-scale distributed backend systems in cloud environments.
• Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency in modern backend and frontend frameworks; Java + React preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design of highly visible features with emphasis on security, privacy, and performance.
• Collaborate with Product and Data teams to translate business goals into technical specs.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote code quality through reviews and standards.
• Architect fault-tolerant systems and drive automation and monitoring initiatives.
