Job summary

iCOMAT is innovating lightweight manufacturing and seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the in-house software team in the UK. You will develop novel software supporting design, analysis, and automated manufacturing of high-performance composite components.

You will build integrations with CAD/CAE/CAM systems, contribute through MVP validation, and collaborate with engineers to deliver robust, scalable tools that enable smarter manufacturing decisions.

Qualifications

5+ years Python development experience.
Proficiency in C++ or C# programming.
Strong software engineering discipline across Windows and Linux.
Experience building engineering or scientific software used by technical end users.
Degree in computer science or STEM at least a first degree; Masters/PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop in-house CAD/CAE/CAM software and Python/C++ wrappers.
Build the integration layer between iCOMAT software tools and CAD/CAE/CAM systems.
Contribute across the software lifecycle from requirements to MVP validation and release.
Collaborate with hardware, robotics and manufacturing engineers to deliver robust tools.
