iCOMAT is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to enhance our in‑house software tools, including Python/C++ wrappers and automation interfaces for industrial CAD/CAE/CAM platforms.
You will help design, validate and release production‑standard software, collaborating with end users to refine requirements and deliver robust engineering software for aerospace, automotive, and space applications.
iCOMAT is an advanced manufacturing company that invented Rapid Tow Shearing (RTS) – a proven technology for producing defect‑free curved‑fiber composite parts at industrial scale. We deliver the lightest structures for aerospace, automotive, defense, and space, with a rate and cost efficiency that exceeds existing composite production processes.
We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our existing Software Engineering team and support the development of our in‑house engineering software tools, including Python/C++ wrappers and automation interfaces for industrial CAD, CAE and CAM platforms.
From day one you will develop novel approaches to complex design and manufacturing problems that sit at the cutting edge of industrial‑scale composite manufacturing.
As a member of iCOMAT’s in‑house software engineering team, you will contribute to the development of software that supports structures and manufacturing engineers with the design, optimisation and manufacturing of high‑performance composite components.
The core focus of this role is to support the development of iCOMAT’s in‑house Computer Aided Manufacturing software and to build and maintain the integration layer between iCOMAT’s software tools and industrial CAD/CAE/CAM systems, automating parts of the composite design workflow and improving feedback between manufacturing and design disciplines.
In addition to writing software code, you will participate across the software development life cycle – from co‑designing requirements with end users, to validating MVPs, and executing the build, test and release of production‑standard software.
