Job summary

Wise is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I for the Product Eligibility domain in London. You will join an autonomous team, shaping the technical vision for the owned domain and contributing to platform, back-office tooling, and customer-facing flows.

You’ll help scale a world-class transfer product and collaborate across engineers, product managers and analysts. You should bring strong Java 8+ experience, a track record with distributed systems, and a passion for customer experience,

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficient in Java 8+.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimisation and designing schemas.
• Strong product mindset with customer-centric, data-driven decisions.
• Collaborative, able to bring people together.
• Experience in designing, deploying and maintaining clean RESTful APIs.
• Advocate of best coding practices, code reviews and open feedback.
• Experience writing testable code and Test Driven Development.
