Job summary

Cloudbeds is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the POS team. You will work across the React Native/Expo mobile app, the Python/FastAPI backend, and the AWS/Kubernetes infrastructure to build a scalable, offline-capable POS experience for hospitality properties.

You'll own end-to-end aspects from application code to deployment configuration, collaborating with product, design, and security teams while seeking continual improvements in reliability and user experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Python and/or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with modern mobile/frontend development (React Native/Expo).
• Strong fundamentals in architecture, testing, performance, security and reliability.
• Relational data modeling with PostgreSQL and API design skills.
• Experience owning cloud-native delivery (Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS) and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate POS experiences across React Native, Expo, Python services, and backend infrastructure.
• Own observability, testing, release quality, and production support for critical workflows.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Payments, and other engineering teams across multiple layers of the stack.
• Provide architecture guidance, code reviews, and mentoring to teammates.
