Qualifications

• Experience of professional software development with Python (preferred).
• Strong command of Python or a modern, strongly-typed language.
• Demonstrated understanding of SOLID, OOP and composition-based architecture.
• Proven ability to write testable code with dependency injection and mocks.
• Experience building composable software with modular components.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and CI pipelines.
• Comfortable with asynchronous programming for coordinating external processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement orchestration logic using a modern workflow engine, decomposing pipelines into small, reusable units.
• Apply solid software design principles to keep code maintainable as complexity grows.
• Define clear, strongly-typed data contracts between pipeline stages.
• Design retry, checkpoint, and resume logic for long-running jobs.
• Implement human-in-the-loop patterns for review/approval and rerouting based on input.
• Write thorough automated tests (unit/integration) for orchestration logic.
