Job summary

Morgan Hunt is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a leading governing body. The role focuses on developing and delivering key digital services in a collaborative, agile environment.

You will design, develop, and improve business-critical applications, contribute to technical decisions, and enhance engineering practices such as CI/CD and automation. The position is hybrid with 1 day onsite weekly in London, Cardiff or Glasgow.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Microsoft Software Developer with hands-on delivery.
• Strong TDD and CI/CD practices in agile teams.
• Proficient in Docker containerisation and deployment automation.
• Experience with Unit testing frameworks (NUnit, Moq).
• Knowledge of Entity Framework and software design patterns.
• Ability to work in stakeholder-driven environments.
• Relevant technical degree or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support core business applications.
• Contribute to technical design and delivery of software solutions.
• Produce clear technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Delivery, and DevOps.

Senior Software Engineer to support the development and delivery of key digital services.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, agile environment, contributing to the design, development, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications.

The Role

You will play a key role in developing and supporting applications aligned to business requirements, working within multidisciplinary agile teams.

Alongside hands-on development, you'll contribute to technical decision-making, help introduce new technologies, and drive improvements in engineering practices such as CI/CD and automation.
