Job summary

CMR Surgical in Cambridge is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Robot Software team. You will develop embedded software for our surgical devices, mostly in C, and contribute to testing, risk management and regulatory documentation.

This hybrid role requires at least three days in the office, collaboration across scrum teams, and leadership responsibilities. You should have experience in regulated environments and strong skills in C or Python.

Qualifications

• Experience developing software, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Strong fundamentals and best practices in software engineering.
• Experience leading design, developers, teams or software projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for medical devices in C, with testing and regulatory documentation.
• Create software tools and processes for Robot Software and overall QA.
• Provide technical leadership within the team.
• Work on scrum team assignments and planning across sprints.
• Mentor, recruit, and contribute to line management and leadership.
