Job summary

Abtrace Limited is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive delivery of scalable software for proactive healthcare in the UK. You will lead cross-functional squads, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Product and Design to ship high-impact features and iterate quickly.

You will own technical planning, ensure quality, balance speed and debt, and scale the team as Abtrace grows. The role blends hands-on coding with leadership in a hybrid setup, with the Paddington office as a base.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent leadership experience in software engineering.
• Proven track record delivering high-impact features.
• Hands-on coding with modern stacks and systems design.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery: Lead technical planning and execution, shipping reliable, scalable software.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering to refine requirements and communicate progress.
• Raise the bar: champion testing, code quality and pragmatic trade-offs.
• Drive impact: mentor teammates and help scale the team and processes.
