Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, development and delivery of software across our product portfolio. You will mentor engineers and act as a technical authority for customers and colleagues."

You’ll use C#, C++, and C on Windows-based real-time systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to diagnose issues and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Significant experience building commercial software solutions.
• Strong skills in C#, C++, and/or C.
• Experience leading complex technical work and shaping direction.
• Experience on Windows-based applications and real-time control.
• Excellent communication across disciplines.
• Degree in Computing, Physics or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of software for products and systems.
• Own complex projects from concept to delivery.
• Develop high-quality software using C#, C++, and C.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Service, Product, and customers.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices.
• Review designs for quality, maintainability and security.
• Contribute to long-term software evolution.
