Job summary

Homeprotect is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead technical delivery for customer-facing systems and the claims workflow. You will own complex features, make architectural decisions, and mentor teammates to raise the overall capability of the engineering group.

You’ll operate across frontend and backend stacks, contribute to cloud-native practices, and collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to deliver reliable, scalable solutions for UK homeowners.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a senior software engineer delivering complex systems and cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong track record of architectural decisions with clear explanations.
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising team capability.
• Comfortable across the stack or with deep expertise in frontend/backend.
• Hands-on in a modern OO language (C#/Java) and frontend familiarity.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, observability and cloud-native development.
• Production systems in public cloud (Azure / GCP) must be reliable and secure.
• Excellent communication across engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
