Job summary

CreateFuture is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer in the UK to shape scalable systems using Java, Spring, Python and NodeJS. You will design, implement and own backend services, mentor engineers and influence architectural decisions across multiple client projects.

The role invites you to collaborate with cross-functional teams, champion automation and explore AI-enabled delivery. Hybrid/remote options are available across major hubs in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java, Spring and REST APIs.
• Ability to design scalable backend systems.
• Mentor engineers and promote coding best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend systems with Java/Spring.
• Lead architectural discussions and ensure maintainability.
• Develop and evolve RESTful APIs with security and performance in mind.
• Champion automated testing and code reviews.
• Drive delivery across multiple initiatives and mentor the team.
