Wise is expanding its MEA team and seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale onboarding and money movement capabilities across multiple markets. You will integrate with local banks, payment providers and verification vendors, and collaborate with global teams to shape regional architecture and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a strong track record of delivering high-quality, scalable systems.
• Deep back-end expertise and microservices architecture.
• Experience designing software systems and collaborating on technical designs.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback during code and design reviews.
• Experience leveraging LLMs to enhance the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features for Consumer Onboarding and Money Movement in MEA.
• Implement integrations with local banks, payment providers, and verification vendors.
• Build and improve FinCrime controls (AML, Fraud) across the region.
• Propose scalable, reliable, compliant technical designs for diverse regulations.
• Participate in code/design reviews to maintain engineering standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers across global offices.
• Contribute to MEA domain technical strategy and roadmap.
