As a Senior Software Engineer II on the Marketing Automation team, you will architect, develop, scale, and monitor solutions, improvements, and services across our Olo Engage marketing suite. You will work with a passionate team dedicated to delivering innovative products using modern tools and technologies like Vue.js, Node.js, Typescript, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Redis, Microservices, Sns/Sqs, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD, etc.

This position is fully remote within the United Kingdom, with primary working hours from 2pm-11pm GMT, Monday to Friday.

You will be contracted through Deel, our Employer of Record, which handles legal and administrative responsibilities. You work for Olo, with Deel as your formal employer, ensuring employment rights, private healthcare, and benefits are maintained.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and build reliable, simple solutions to complex problems at scale
• Plan, architect, and develop restaurant marketing tools from frontend to backend
• Own your code and services, monitor performance, and resolve issues
• Assess and resolve production incidents
• Help scale operations for growth and reliability
• Mentor team members in best practices
• Seek diverse perspectives and challenge assumptions
• Provide constructive feedback to strengthen the team
• Meet commitments in a timely manner

What We Expect From You:

• 6+ years of development experience
• Strong experience with Vue.js, Node.js, Typescript, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Redis, Microservices, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD, or similar technologies
• Experience architecting end-to-end flows in distributed/microservices architectures
• Experience developing highly available, scalable SaaS platforms
• Proficiency in writing unit tests and working with version control
• Focus on team quality and collaborative work environment
• Empathy for customer needs and clear communication
• A product-minded approach to solving complex problems
