Senior Software Engineer II, Marketing Automation

As a Senior Software Engineer II on the Marketing Automation team, you will architect, develop, scale, and monitor solutions, improvements, and services across our Olo Engage marketing suite. We value collaboration, new ideas, and experimentation. No part of the codebase is off-limits. You will work with a passionate team using modern tools like Vue.js, Node.js, Typescript, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Redis, Microservices, Sns/Sqs, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD, etc.

This position is fully remote within the United Kingdom, with primary hours from 2pm-11pm GMT, Monday to Friday.

You will be contracted through Deel, our Employer of Record, which handles legal and administrative responsibilities. You will work for Olo, maintain your employment rights under local law, and be eligible for private healthcare, benefits, and pension programs.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and build reliable, simple solutions to complex problems at scale.
• Architect and develop restaurant marketing tools from frontend to backend.
• Own your code and services, monitor performance, and resolve issues.
• Assess and resolve production incidents.
• Help scale our platform for enterprise clients.
• Mentor team members on best practices.
• Encourage diverse perspectives and challenge assumptions.
• Provide constructive feedback to strengthen the team.
• Meet commitments promptly.

What We Expect From You:

• 6+ years of development experience.
• Strong experience with Vue.js, Node.js, Typescript, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Redis, Microservices, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD, or similar technologies.
• Experience with end-to-end architecture in distributed/microservices environments.
• Experience developing highly available, scalable SaaS platforms.
• Proficiency in writing tests and working with version control.
• Focus on team quality and collaborative work.
• Empathy for customer needs and good communication skills.
• Product-minded approach to problem-solving.
