Job summary

Opencast is seeking a Senior Software Developer who cares about engineering craft and robust design. You’ll work in agile teams, lead on technical delivery, and contribute to government-enabled digital services using Java or Scala.

Expect weekly on-site work across the UK with regular travel to client sites. You’ll collaborate, mentor others, and help shape solutions that deliver real value for clients and users.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Software Developer with Java or Scala.
• Design and build scalable, maintainable systems with attention to performance, security and accessibility.
• Embed strong testing practices throughout delivery.
• Bring recent government (public sector) experience and deliver services aligned to Government Digital Service standards.
