TRG Screen in Belfast is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (.NET) to design, develop, and evolve backend services and frontend applications across the enterprise product suite. The role blends feature development with modernising established systems in an AI‑driven engineering setup.

You will lead and contribute to architecture discussions, implement clean code practices, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with product and QA teams.

Competenze

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer using the Microsoft stack.
• Strong experience with C# and .NET, building enterprise-grade backend systems.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript with modern front-end frameworks.
• Relational DB skills (SQL Server or PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with Git, Docker and cloud platforms.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (.NET) to join TRG Screen’s engineering team. You will design, develop, and evolve backend services and frontend applications across our enterprise product suite — a hands‑on role that blends new feature development with improving and modernising complex, established systems. TRG Screen is an AI-driven engineering organisation; this role is expected to use AI tooling by default across the full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Development & Delivery

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and frontend applications for TRG Screen products, including modernisation and maintenance of legacy code.
• Participate in the full SDLC — requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
• Operate independently on complex tasks, owning features end-to‑end across the full stack.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to clean code principles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues across backend and frontend.
• Use AI tooling as standard practice across design, implementation, code review, and testing to improve quality and delivery speed.

Technical Leadership

• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision‑making.
• Apply clean code principles and design patterns to deliver maintainable, scalable systems.
• Champion automated testing practices and contribute to system reliability, performance, and security.
• Actively adopt AI‑driven development practices and contribute to their adoption within the team.
• Produce technical documentation such as design specifications and runbooks.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Collaborate effectively with product managers, QA, UX designers, and other stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to team knowledge through pairing and documentation.
• Communicate clearly on technical topics with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and continuous process improvement.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer using the Microsoft stack.
• Strong experience with C# and .NET, building enterprise‑grade backend systems.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience in modern front‑end frameworks (Angular, React, or similar).
• Strong database skills with relational databases (SQL Server or PostgreSQL preferred).
• Solid understanding of clean code principles, design patterns, and testing practices.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

• Exposure to microservices architecture and API design.
• Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience using AI‑driven development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Familiarity with spec‑driven development — using structured specifications to guide AI coding agents and validate generated output (e.g., BMAD, GitHub Spec‑Kit).
• Familiarity with financial services or research technology domains.
