Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Corporate and Investment Bank Payments Technology - Account Services seeks a Software Engineer III to design, develop, and deploy robust software that improves reliability, availability and performance of mission-critical systems.

You will tackle complex challenges, automate tasks, and monitor services to prevent incidents. You will work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), IaC tools, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tooling, collaborating with cross-functional

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience in software engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Java/Spring Boot, .NET).
Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.
Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Proactive in learning and innovation.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement robust software solutions, applying creative problem-solving to optimize system reliability and performance.
Develop and maintain automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations to reduce manual intervention.
Monitor system performance, proactively address potential issues, and troubleshoot complex production incidents.
Implements infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for the applications and platforms.
Understands service level indicators and utilizes service level objectives to proactively resolve issues before they impact customers.
Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to enhance system reliability, scalability, and performance.
Document processes, share knowledge, and contribute to communities of practice and emerging technologies.
Foster a team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
