Job summary

AJ Bell Senior Software Engineer in Manchester joins the Operational and Regulatory Technology team to build scalable services and APIs. You’ll work in a cross-functional squad, mentor others, and contribute to high-performance systems in a modern cloud stack.

Hybrid working is offered with strong career progression within Agile practices. Competence in C#, .NET, REST, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS and frontend frameworks is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial experience developing services and APIs with C#, .NET core, Mongo and/or SQL using domain-driven design and MVC.
• Strong frontend web development experience with Angular/React/Vue.js.
• Experience in HTTP-based APIs and RESTful JSON.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Test Driven Development experience with various test frameworks.
• Proven ability to develop scalable, highly available middle-tier components.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience deploying and maintaining Cloud solutions on AWS.
• Understanding of high-performance web page principles.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core.
• Experience with messaging queues (RabbitMQ, SQS) and Web API / Google Protocol Buffers.
