Job summary

Menlo Security is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Data Security & AI Engineering team. You will design and expand Chromium-based browser components in C++, build AI security features, and harden runtime protections for enterprise environments.

You will collaborate across Chromium, AI, and security disciplines, deploying APIs and MCP/CDP servers, and shaping cloud infrastructure with AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with strong C++ systems programming.
• Strong networking fundamentals, including HTTP security and web protocols.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Chromium-based browser components in C++.
• Architect and embed PI detection and Shadow AI controls.
• Harden browser isolation, proxies, and network-facing infra.
• Collaborate with MARS and AI teams to integrate MCP servers.
• Develop tooling and microservices in Python or Rust.
• Deploy cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP and Kubernetes.
• Optimize performance of high-scale browser and backend systems.
• Work cross-functionally with product, security, and AI teams.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development.
