HP Wolf Security in Cambridge is seeking a Principal Browser Software Engineer to join our R&D team. You will design and develop browser-based security features for our micro-virtualization platform, contributing to secure browsing across Chromium-based and Firefox-based environments.

The role combines hands-on C++ development with collaboration across security researchers, product teams and engineers, with a hybrid work model requiring on-site presence in Cambridge three days a week.

Qualifications

• Experience in modern C++ development and Windows environments.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and browser-based apps.
• Familiar with Chromium and Firefox architectures.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core features of HP Wolf Security's secure browsing products.
• Design, code, debug, test and optimize software using modern C++.
• Develop secure browser capabilities on Chromium-based browsers.
• Collaborate with engineers, security researchers and product teams to deliver enterprise security solutions.
• Contribute to automated testing and validation frameworks.
