Job summary

Board Intelligence is seeking a Software Engineer to lead security across our engineering teams. This role reports to senior security leadership and partners with the CTO and CISO to raise the bar on secure development. The position spans building foundations, then expanding to AI-enabled testing of our applications.

You will integrate security tooling into pipelines, drive secure design practices, and mentor engineers to embed security as a core capability across the product suite.

Qualifications

• Mid-level to senior experience building production systems.
• Strong system design skills and ability to spot security risks.
• A genuine interest in security and a clear focus on it.
• A good understanding of secure development practices and common vulnerabilities.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to influence engineers without formal authority.
• Experience using AI coding tools in day-to-day work.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Build a clear picture of our engineering security posture and plan improvements with CTO and CISO.
• Bring consistent security tooling into every pipeline (credential scanning, SCA, SAST, DAST).
• Configure tooling to reduce noise and aid engineers.
• Review designs and architectures with engineering teams to apply security thinking early.
• Develop agentic security testing using AI agents across applications.
• Collaborate with CISO and security team to implement working security systems.
• Help engineers build securely through tooling, guidance, and examples.
