Unitary is a fast-growing AI startup building a factory for custom operations agents and Virtual Agents that automate complex workflows. We are a remote-first team spread across Europe with a strong focus on practical AI deployment for midmarket clients.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead productisation efforts, re-imagine existing services, and bridge ML, product, and platform engineering to deliver scalable capabilities.

Qualifications

• Expert Python development and production-grade coding.
• Experience bringing products to market or productising services.
• Ability to re-imagine and refactor systems to scale with growth.
• Familiarity with AI coding agents and agentic tools.
• Strong software engineering practices, standards, and culture.

Responsibilities

• Bring new products to market.
• Re-imagine and refactor our existing services and tooling into a new generation of capabilities.
• Bridge our Machine Learning, Product and Platform Engineering capabilities.
• Work with operations engineering lead and customer success to establish priorities across customers.
• Triage and resolve technical issues raised by customers and internal teams.
• Lead or contribute to post-mortems when service breaches occur, identifying root causes and driving improvements.
• Operate the AI decision engine to improve automation accuracy.
• Update customer workflows when requirements change and confirm delivery timelines.
• Contribute to internal tooling and automation for day-to-day operations.
• Write and maintain runbooks and documentation for self-sufficiency.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.
