Job summary

Tessl is seeking a Software Engineer to join our London-based engineering team to build real-time AI native workflows, tooling, and interfaces. You will collaborate with product, design, and engineers to ship features that empower developers and AI coding agents.

You’ll drive design through testing, prototype new ideas quickly, and help shape the platform architecture in a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a software engineer in fast-moving environments.
• Ability to contribute to mature codebases with CI criteria.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate development.
• Comfort in high-autonomy startups and rapid iteration.
• Experience deploying and integrating AI coding tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new functionality discussed with product team.
• Spin up a PoC to validate ideas.
• Prototype a language integration for code generation.
• Pair with a designer to refine UI/CLI UX.
• Integrate third-party services for notifications.
• Collaborate to plan scalable platform architecture.
• Establish end-to-end testing strategy for new features.
• Share your technical vision for a new product capability.
