Job summary

Street Group in Manchester is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (L5) to own core features end-to-end, drive architectural decisions and scale across the product stack. The role emphasizes AI tooling, collaboration with designers and engineers, and delivering high-quality software in a fast-growing PropTech environment.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup (up to 4 days WFH) and contribute to security, platform upgrades and discovery sessions while mentoring teammates and shaping technical direction.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience with PHP and Laravel or similar MVC framework.
• Experience with modern JS frameworks (Vue 3, React, Angular).
• Production AWS experience (ECS, Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, RDS advantageous).
• AI-native approach using tooling and plugins.

Responsibilities

• Own your area of the codebase end-to-end with scale in mind.
• Direct parallel agent sessions while focusing on design decisions.
• Play a key role in security work, architecture changes and platform upgrades.
• Build and improve AI infrastructure and CI/CD loops for the team.
• Bring product thinking to every build and advocate for the user and business outcomes.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and maintain high-quality output.
• Collaborate with tech leaders and product designers on scale, maintainability and alignment.
