Job summary

Travel Counsellors is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help shape our customer experience (CX) across web, mobile and digital services. You will work hands-on in C# and .NET, lead substantial pieces of work, and collaborate with product, design and architecture teams to deliver dependable solutions.

You’ll guide design decisions, set high standards for code quality, security and performance, and explore AI-assisted engineering while ensuring alignment with the broader CX roadmap.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of delivering and supporting production software.
• Strong hands-on C# and .NET skills or equivalent progression.
• Experience with customer-facing web or mobile products and APIs is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead substantial MyTC and CX changes across customer web, mobile and digital journeys, from technical planning through release and support.
• Set a high standard for C# and .NET engineering, API design, testing, maintainability, security and production readiness.
• Work with product, design, architecture and engineering colleagues to shape solutions that support customer needs and the wider roadmap.
• Provide technical guidance within your team and contribute to shared design decisions across CX teams.
• Surface dependencies and help unblock delivery while supporting clear ownership within each team.
• Use AI coding tools and agents where appropriate. Review and test generated changes, and remain accountable for their quality, security and outcomes.
• Share effective approaches to AI-enabled engineering with colleagues.
• Use customer feedback, product analytics, operational data and service health to inform priorities and assess the impact of changes.
• Support production services through monitoring, incident learning, risk management and continuous improvement.
