Travel Counsellors Limited is seeking a Software Engineer to join our technology team, building and improving digital services for customers and partners. You will develop dependable C# and .NET software, collaborating with engineers, product colleagues and domain specialists to understand needs and deliver solutions.

You’ll work through the delivery lifecycle, from exploring requirements to testing, release and production support, using modern practices and AI tools to assist where useful.

Formación

• Typically around three years or more of professional software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of C# and .NET.
• Experience with APIs, data stores, automated testing and cloud services.
• Familiarity with AWS, SQL Server and CI/CD.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our technology team.

About the Role

As a Software Engineer, you’ll build and improve the digital services that help Travel Counsellors serve their customers and run their businesses. You’ll join a strategic engineering team and work in the domain where your skills can make the greatest difference.

You’ll develop dependable C# and .NET software, working with engineers, product colleagues and domain specialists to understand customer and operational needs. You’ll contribute throughout the delivery lifecycle, from exploring requirements and shaping solutions to testing, release and production support.

We use modern engineering practices and AI development tools to help teams work effectively. You’ll use your judgement to choose where AI can help, provide clear context, and review and test its output. You’ll remain responsible for the quality, security and maintainability of the software you deliver.

What You’ll Do

• Build, test and support software that meets customer, product and operational needs.
• Develop and maintain C# and .NET services, APIs and integrations.
• Work with colleagues to understand requirements, explore options and deliver changes incrementally.
• Contribute throughout the delivery lifecycle, including production support.
• Write automated tests, take part in peer reviews, follow secure coding practices and help monitor services.
• Use AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code and GitHub Copilot where they’re useful. Provide context, review and test their output, and take responsibility for what you ship.
• Learn about the team’s domain, architecture and operational needs, and share useful knowledge with colleagues.
• Communicate progress and raise questions, risks and dependencies early.

What You’ll Bring

You’ll have a sound foundation in software development, with professional experience—typically around three years or more—and good knowledge of C# and .NET, or equivalent practical experience and progression.

You’ll also have experience or be developing your capability in areas such as APIs, data stores, automated testing and cloud services. Our teams work with AWS, SQL Server and CI/CD processes, and may use document databases such as MongoDB. You don’t need to know every part of our technology stack; curiosity and a willingness to learn matter.

You’ll work well with others, communicate clearly and be open to feedback. You’ll be comfortable using modern development tools, including AI tools, with care and sound judgement.

A degree or formal qualification is welcome, but equivalent practical experience is equally valued. Travel industry experience isn’t required.
