Job summary

Indra Group UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to safety-critical distributed ATM software. The role involves AI-assisted development and modern tooling to boost productivity and quality across the software lifecycle.

Ideal candidates will have a strong engineering background, 4–6 years in software development, and excellent English. Experience with real-time, safety-critical or distributed systems is valued, and remote-friendly options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics, or similar).
• 4–6 years of software development experience.
• High level of English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software based on system and subsystem requirements.
• Contribute to distributed, mission-critical ATM systems.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, implementation, and testing.
• Perform development, integration activities, testing and validation.
• Manage and resolve software anomalies and defects.
• Apply AI-assisted tools to improve development productivity, code quality and maintainability, and automation across the lifecycle.
