Job summary

Anson McCade is recruiting a Senior Software Engineer (Java/Fullstack) to join a multinational technology organisation inside the Data & Technology team, supporting the Central Government sector across the UK. You will own the full SDLC in Java and deliver high quality incremental releases, with occasional client site work and demos.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in Java, familiarity with Spring or Hibernate, AWS experience, and Agile delivery, with mentorship demonstrated at senior levels.

UK wide – Occasional Travel Monthly

Currently working with a multinational professional services and technology organisation who are in search of Software Engineers (Java focused) to join their Data & Technology team within their Central Government sector to offer new bespoke solutions to solve customers complex operational problems.

What you’ll be doing as a Senior Software Engineer:

• Full SDLC in Java.
• Delivering high quality incremental software releases.
• Participation in occasional client site integrations, demos, training and business development activities.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating research on alternative technologies, tools and methods.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Java Development.
• Familiarity with at least one framework, such as Spring or Hibernate.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, would be advantageous.
• You will have experience working with Agile environments to deliver software projects.
• For Senior positions you must demonstrate mentorship experience.
