Job summary

Ocho People is sourcing a Senior Software Engineer for a Series B KYC and compliance platform. You will work on TypeScript/Node.js backend and React frontend, owning features end to end from architecture decisions to production deployment, within a lean team in Northern Ireland.

You will design REST APIs, build on MongoDB and AWS stack, and operate in a regulated fintech/regtech environment. Hybrid or remote options are available with equity participation and a salary up to £80,000.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of commercial software engineering experience
• Strong, production grade TypeScript and Node.js skills
• Experience designing and building REST APIs, Fastify experience is a genuine advantage
• MongoDB or equivalent document database experience
• AWS experience across core services including SNS, SQS, Lambda and EKS
• Comfortable with Docker and containerised deployment workflows
• Experience writing automated tests and owning quality within a CI and CD pipeline
• Right to work in the UK

This is a Senior Software Engineer position spanning backend and frontend, with a natural lean towards the API and service layer. You will own features end to end, from early architecture decisions through to production deployment, working directly on the core platform alongside a small engineering team that moves quickly and expects engineers who can operate independently, challenge assumptions and raise the quality bar without being asked.
