Job summary

Spectrum IT in Ramsgate, Kent is seeking a Senior Software Developer to own technical delivery for AI and SaaS initiatives, turning ambitious ideas into reliable software and laying foundations for a commercial SaaS business.

You will join a small team building an operational platform for dispatch, driver management and recruitment, plus finance and reporting, with AI-powered automation and new logistics applications on the horizon.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering SaaS applications and reliable production software.
• Strong front-end (JavaScript/TypeScript) and back-end (Python/Node.js) development capabilities.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled applications and integrations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of software projects from requirements and design through deployment and support.
• Develop and improve full-stack applications, backend services and APIs.
• Prepare existing applications for commercial use with focus on reliability, testing, security and scalability.
• Build AI-enabled functionality, automation and integrations that solve real operations problems.
• Collaborate with founders and operations teams to turn ideas into working software.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, coding standards and tech roadmap.
• Mentor and review code to help other developers.
