Job summary

Caritas Recruitment seeks a Senior Social Worker for the Permanence Team in Leicestershire. You will manage complex cases, guide junior staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote stability and permanence for children in care.

You will assess needs, develop care plans, and implement effective intervention strategies while ensuring compliance with statutory duties and best practice standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with BA/MA in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
• Extensive experience in child protection and court proceedings.
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored support plans for children and families.
• Lead case reviews and ensure compliance with legislation and best practice standards.
• Provide supervision and support to junior social workers and students.
• Build relationships with families, children and external agencies to ensure effective service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation per organizational policies.
