Job summary

Together for Children Sunderland is seeking a Social Worker/Senior Social Worker for Planning for Permanence in the Pre-Birth Team. The role focuses on permanence planning for children, including preparing for adoption with high-quality direct work and statutory duties.

You will work within a supportive team, under a Team Manager and two Assistant Team Managers, with training on Signs of Safety and opportunities for flexible and agile working, on-site parking, and LGPS.

Qualifications

• Experience of permanence planning for children and understanding statutory responsibilities for cared-for children.
• Primary responsibilities include completing Child Permanence Reports (CPRs) and Life Story Work.
• This is non-caseload holding; you will provide high-quality direct work.

Responsibilities

• Support children with a plan of adoption by undertaking high-quality direct work.
• Undertake CPRs, Later Life Letters, and Life Story Work tailored to each child’s journey.
• Work within a small social work team with senior management support.
