Job summary

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join Thornford Park in Thatcham, supporting forensic service users with mental health conditions. You will lead assessments, CPA reports, Mental Health Tribunals, and supervise junior staff within a multidisciplinary team.

Location: Thornford Park, Crookham Hill, Thatcham, Berkshire. Salary £31,000–£35,000 with generous leave, development opportunities, and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• A Social Work qualification.
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
• Have experience of working in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the multidisciplinary teams on non-medical mental capacity issues and best interest decisions.
• Liaising with external agencies to enable them to fulfill their statutory duties, for example: MAPPA, Local Authority Social Services, Police and Probation.
• Supporting carers and families of detained patients.
